Increase Your Tourism Web Traffic & Sales – Guaranteed

Writen by Tim Warren

Web sites are a major part of the tourism marketing success strategy used by international tourism promoters in the new millennium: tourism boards, Associations, lodging, tour operators, etc. If your tourism web site does not have these four primary elements clearly and quickly represented, you are missing opportunities and losing sales.

1. Creates a desire to use your tourism services, visit your destination or participate in your unique tourism option

2. Clearly informs prospects of travel and service benefits, options, sites, nature/environment, activities

3. Answer questions and concerns a typical visitor may have

4. Motivates prospects to contact you quickly (not your competitor) for more information, travel options and dates, answer questions and address concerns

If your site achieves all these goals, then the prospects that have visited your site will be more excited, motivated, qualified, informed and much closer to giving you a booking or visiting your country. This article is not about web design and layout theory, but why the written word and consumer psychology is a prime factor in influencing arrivals and sales.

Create a desire to Visit your destination or travel with your company

Prospective travelers may or may not choose to visit your destination based on what they read on your web site – usually just your home page.

Read the article Tourist Safety and Security on Adventure Business Consultants, then you’ll know how crucial it is to first communicate to prospective travelers that your destination and/or tour is a safe, secure and fun place to visit. With so many global destination choices online and so much international turmoil, you MUST communicate clearly it is a safe and fun destination quickly.

The best place to first communicate safety, security and fun is on your home page, not buried deep in your site. When someone first comes to your web site, you literally have five to twenty seconds to grab their interest and compel them to want to know more about your destination, tours, etc. If you don’t grab them on your home page, they are gone. Those prospective tourists are back to surfing the web, seeking out a more interesting, compelling tourism web site and vacation destination.

If you look at your log report, (the statistical report that your internet service provider should make accessible to you) that monitors your web visitors activity, i.e. pages visited, length of time on your site, key words used to find your site, etc., you may notice that the majority of visitors may stay less then a minute. On a poorly written and designed web site, maybe less then fifteen seconds. So grabbing their attention and motivating them to want to know more is the first obstacle and opportunity. Testimonials and photos of happy tourist are perfect for communicating safety and experience quickly. Use them liberally.

Tourism Web Site Must Clearly inform

One of the prime reasons people travel is to experience “something different” from their ordinary life and location. Active and ecotourists want to learn about new cultures, see different houses, hear and speak a different language, reflect on ancient religions and buildings, marvel at unbroken vistas, or try a new activity. This is exactly what most ecotourism operator and destinations are selling and what you must communicate to your web visitors.

Too many web sites that give web visitors unknown destinations instead of activities or types of regions. Most people surfing your web site are not going to know, for example, what they’ll find in Hosgol, Khenti, or the Gobi – which are major regions of Mongolia I discovered during two consulting projects I did there for their tourism Association and ministry. You be better off to define what type of regions they are and what they have to offer. Use descriptive words that everyone will understand. For example:

Hosgol -Mountains Lakes Fishing Horseback Riding Hiking

Khenti – Steppes Rivers Fishing Horseback & Mt. Biking Religious Sites

Gobi – Desert Camel Riding Trekking Archeology

You must use descriptive text and compelling words that paint a desirable mental picture.

Summarize your trips in bullets and short headlines and sub- headlines

Use descriptive verbs and compelling words in the body of the text to give substance and details to the headlines and sub-heads.

Effective Tourism Marketing Web Sites -Answer Questions and Concerns

When a prospective tourist is considering a destination, in addition to types of regions and activities, they have additional questions and concerns that must be addressed to earn their visit or booking. The same holds true with Out Bound Booking Agents, but even more so.

Some of these travelers questions and concerns include:

Safety precautions and procedures How you are going to protect their safety? Length of vacation Costs Difficulty of trip Travel options to Ulaan Bataar Lodging – hotel, camping or Ger Food- vegetarian or special restrictions Water – Is it safe? Medical emergency/1st aide resources Qualifications of staff Experience level of company Exchange rates & procedures Times of year to visit Group discounts Children – minimum age/experience Insurance needs/options Cancellation policy/minimums for departure In-country transportation & equipment Visa requirements Inoculations/disease precautions language

One of the best ways to deal with all the typical questions you’ll get from prospective clients is a Frequently Asked Questions and Answers page – FAQ’s. You should also create a pre-written response E-mail that responds to these questions and more. Testimonials and pictures that address these questions are great too.

Successful Tourism Marketing – Motivates prospects to Buy

Remember that: Marketing is the actions and steps to getting prospective and qualified visitors/clients to call or e-mail you.

Selling is the transference of enthusiasm from you to the prospect.

Sales is getting those prospective visitors/clients to feel comfortable and excited enough about your destination/or trip, to give your money and book a trip.

Your tourism web site quickly communicates that region and your tours:

Are fun, safe and secure on the home and subsequent pages

Effectively answer questions and concerns

Uses a blend of testimonials and images of happy visitors (especially celebrities and/or recognized media)

When prospects call or e-mail, they will far more motivated and excited. If you are excited in your spoken and written words too, then making a sale is ten times easier. If you or a staff member can effectively speak the foreign language of your prospect, can be excited about what you are selling and can ask for the booking, it would be better to schedule a phone call with serious prospects at your expense whenever possible. This will radically increase your odds of converting that web site visitor into a paying client.

Web site Samples and Resources

See the following web sites for good use of testimonials, compelling headlines, layout, photos and descriptive text that clearly informs prospects of travel options, sites, nature, activities, etc. How a site looks is important, but it is the words and how they are expressed, that is most important.

Tourism Web Site Check List for Success

Web sites are a major part of the marketing success strategy used by international tourism promoters.

Prospective travelers may or may not choose to visit your region or use your tour, based on what they read on your web site – usually just your home page.

Your web site quickly communicates that your destinations and tours are fun, safe and secure.

Your web site effectively answers questions and concerns.

Summarize your trips in bullets and short headlines and sub-headlines

Use descriptive verbs and compelling words in the body of the text to give substance and details to the headlines and sub-heads.

One of the best ways to deal with all the typical questions you’ll get from prospective clients is a Frequently Asked Questions and Answers page – FAQ’s.

Don’t forget that your web site must show up in the top 1 -20 positions of directories and search engines from a relevant key word search. Without this, no matter how well written and laid out your web site is, you will loose out on the majority of prospective clients.

Learn 5 Quick Ways To Use ‘Content’ To Create and Boost Your Traffic And Profits Today

Writen by Sami Fab

OK, what is ‘content’? Simply put, it is informative material that you include in your website or elsewhere to benefit your readers.

What’s the point of this effort? Providing information, relevant to the subject of your website, is the most powerful way of attracting visitors to you who already respect you as an expert on the subject.

In marketing speak they are already ‘presold’. If you then recommend them something a relatively large proportion will buy in compared to the average visitor to your site.

BUT you must never betray this trust and must always try to recommend only top quality products and services with the readers’ interest at heart. Honor this and you will have customers and followers for life.

Lets take a look at five ways content builds you traffic, subscribers, and customers in addition to increasing your search engine rankings.

1. Educate, don’t sell.

Regularly add keyword rich articles and content to your website. Adding a lot of content is good but adding new content regularly much better. Search engines and visitors alike, value your site more if it is kept fresh.

Doing this alone will raise your search engine ranking and daily visitor count.

For example, if your business involves offering products and services related to food, posting articles and content relating to recipes, food preparation, nutrition, quality suppliers etc will attract unlimited prospective customers on a regular basis! Why?

Answer: I want you to always remember this point, which will help you whenever you deal with the search engines:

The search engines are in the business of providing accurate and relevant information to their search clients. They do this because the more accurate and relevant the information the more people will visit (and also repeatedly come back to) the search engine and therefore the more money the search engine will make from advertising and other services.

This is why the search engines ‘love’ great, focused, relevant, keyword rich content. Once they find your site and index it (list it), if your content is great, then they will reward you by sending lots of visitors your way for as long as the content remains relevant to their customers.

So, give the search engines what they want and you’ll get plenty of what “you” want.

2. Excusive reports

If your run a newsletter, a powerful technique for multiplying your subscriber base quite easily is to offer content as “exclusive reports” or manuals. But present the offer as a bonus for signing up for your publication. Everyone loves freebies, so give them what they want and get what you want – a massive increase in your results.

Just remember, people just like search engines, want ‘relevant’ information. Keep the subject of your special reports focused and your newsletters well focused too. But if necessary, keep different lists for the different interests/subjects.

3. Training courses.

Think about it. What is a training course? Isn’t it a collection of informative chapters or sections organized in useful sequence! The beauty of organizing content into a series of lessons, delivered by email is:

a) It entices visitors to your website to give you their email addresses and then you can keep in touch, inform and market to them indefinitely.

b) It that keeps the reader glued to your serialized training course.

Now remember, statistics show that on average, it takes 7 contacts to turn a prospect into a customer. That’s why it is so hard to sell to a new visitor to your website. But this technique overcomes that problem very neatly.

Note: The technique is really simple and works extremely well but the key to success is ‘quality control’. This means you must ensure valuable content is provided in each and every lesson.

An extra bonus with this technique is that because you have editorial control over the content, you can links to related websites and also have your affiliate links spread around each lesson or course.

As you might imagine by now, valuable lessons will go on being demanded and used for an awful long time. This means you get an automated income stream from the affiliate links for as long as you keep the training material relevant.

Tip: Use an ‘auto responder’ to deliver these courses automatically.

4. Newsletter content.

A key ingredient of success online is building a trusting and honorable relationship with the people on your mailing list or newsletter subscribers. In other words you must ‘cultivate’ your list.

With top quality content in the form of articles, delivered through a sequence of emails, you can easily establish yourself as an exert in your filed of business. You gain significant credibility and trust.

As a result, once again your subscribers are ‘presold’ and will take up your products, services and recommendations.

Remember this only works if you never, ever, take advantage of the relationship you develop with your list. Avoid the temptation to offer poor quality products or services for a quick profit.

There is one thing you can totally depend on in Internet marketing: A mailing list with a well developed relationship to you, goes n producing income year after year.

5. Article submission.

A highly productive way to generate fr’ee traffic is by submitting ready-made articles to websites, newsletters, article directories, online journals etc.

At the end of each article you can attach 3-6 lines of text known as your ‘bio’ or ‘resource box’ or ‘About the author’. In this you write a little abut yourself and include a link to your website or subscription email address … See mine below.

At the time of submitting your articles for publication specify that each article is to be published “as is” with your resource box attached.

Even one or two articles can go miles towards generating tons of traffic and visitors for you without spending a cent. You can easily send your article to newsletters that have subscriber bases of 100,000 individuals or more and many will click your website link to find out more about what you are offering.

So you now have 5 powerful ways to develop your business but just one of these can explode your site popularity and profits with top quality content.

Let me leave you with a valuable thought on this subject: We’ve all heard “… give and you shall receive…”. And it is so true when it comes to providing useful information to others on the Internet.

Think of it this way: you will be proving your worth to your target market, right? Now, think about this question as a potential customer would:

Which is more powerful, lots of clever adverts from a company you know nothing about or just some plain-speaking but valuable information from someone or a company that proves useful to you and establishes its credibility? There is simply no contest.

Here’s one final hidden gem for you: how long does an advert stay current?

Answer: Just one issue of whatever publication of course.

How long does a valuable article last?

Answer: At least many months but most probably years! Yes, years.

Most publications and web sites maintain a readily accessible archive of their published material usually available to all visitors and search engine spiders for years to come! This will ensure a steady flow of visitors via search engines as an added bonus.

But there’s more: with links from (your resource box in) each article back to your site, the search engines will reward you with higher rankings.

And remember that when it comes to distributing content you have an army of allies out there numbering into at least thousands for the most obscure of subjects – they eagerly want to distribute your information because they too will gain similar benefits to you. A win-win situation for all.

Web Site Traffic Tips: Get Paid for Every Visitor which Leaves Your Website

Writen by Jacek Michalak

Over 90% Visitors Leave Your Site Forever. We all know this truth and live with it daily. Even when we promote the most successful affiliate program or highly optimized Adsense website we lost over 90% visitors everyday.

Did You ever wonder how to utilize this traffic and made money from this running away source? Typically You get your traffic from search engines, users type a few keywords and check first site which appear on search result page. If this site contain what user want maybe he buy products from this site. If not user click back button and check second (and next) sites from search listing until he found what he looking for. We all do this the same way everyday.

We can change a little this scenario and add one step between return to search page. When user it’s not satisfied with what You offer on Your page and click back button he don’t return to search result but will see another page with more offers but related to keywords he enter in search window. We all know that it’s high probability he checks this offers. If he don’t find what he looking for and press back button second time he back for search result.

The good thing is that even he don’t buy products from this second page You get money every time when user leave Your page! You loose customer for Your product but anyway You earn money. This concept it’s not new (You can see this when You visit any adult related pages) but contains two new strong points: user get keyword related ads and You get paid even user don’t buy anything from second page. I implemented this feature on many of may web pages and for my surprise I now sell more products because customers see my pages more interesting and often return.

A Free Method Of Driving Traffic To Your Websites

Writen by John Woon

Many successful Internet marketers have found out that one of the best ways to drive traffic to their websites is by writing articles. Getting their own articles written, distributed and published on the Internet is one of the very best Internet marketing techniques in existence.

An author of a good article usually becomes an instant authority because visitors could obtain some useful information from it to help them in their own business. As a result, it is very likely that they would click the link in your article resource box to visit your website to get more information. Also, the chances of them signing up with you in one of your recommended business opportunities or buy one of your recommended products would be greatly enhanced.

Some marketers might decide to write their own articles if they have the ability to do so while others might choose to join an article cooperative to get access to private label articles or hire someone to write articles for them.

There are three possible routes opened to Internet marketers:

1)Conduct Own Research and Write Your Own Articles.

Those who choose to write their own articles enjoy the advantage that it is “free” and it would give them a sense of pride in accomplishment. There are a wide range of subjects to write about but it is advisable to stick to those relevant to the current businesses the writers are involved in. The disadvantage is that it could be time consuming to conduct some basic research work.

2)Join An Article Cooperative to Get Pre-written Articles.

Hundreds of pre-written articles could be obtained for free or a small fee. From these you could choose those discussing subjects related to the content of your website. These are commonly known as the “Private label articles” which you have full permission to use and also add your own name and article resource box to the article as the author.

3)Hire Someone to Write Articles For You.

Some might find writing own articles too much a hassle especially when they are new to this business or if they do not fancy pre-written articles due to lack of originality, writing articles using ghost writing service could be a possibility to put their own ideas into writing

2)For article marketing on the Internet, articles written with between 400-700 words would suffice. It goes without saying that your articles must be relevant to your Internet business. Hence topic of your articles should be related to: “working at home”, “home based business”, “Internet marketing”, “making money online”, “promoting a website”, etc.

Below are some routes you can use to maximize the readership of your articles:

1)Article Directories

The best practice is submitting your articles to Article Directories. Many publishers of websites, blogs, and ezines visit the sites of these Directories. Hence your articles will be quickly exposed to people who have a large amount of traffic.

2)Article Lists/Newsletters

You could also submit your articles to article lists such as newsletters on Yahoo and Topica. Articles from such sources are normally better received by publishers. As a result, when a submission is done by you via an article list, publishers have more confidence in your articles and would very likely use them.

3)Individual Related Websites

Most websites are focussing on providing valuable information and educational materials to their readers. You could submit your articles to these sites if your articles are relevant to what they need. It is best that you only contact sites where the readers would have an interest in the topic of your article.

4)Ezine Directories

When your articles have been submitted to directories and article lists as mentioned earlier, you could start contacting individual publishers such as the publishers of ezines that are related to your topic. Choose those who accept articles and write to them and convince them that your articles would be of value for their purpose.

5)Give The Articles to Your New Affiliate members

To help your affiliates especially the newly “recruited” ones, you could give them your articles as a way to help promote your site. They could either publish them as they are or they could substitute your link with theirs in the resource box of the article. They would be impressed by such generous gesture from you.

Submitting articles and getting them re-published on others’ websites and newsletters/ezines is therefore one of the most powerful Internet marketing strategies. Your articles will then start working as a free advertisement for you for a long time.

Utilizing Award Sites for Your Benefit

Writen by Claude Beavers

Why Award Sites?

Award sites are, in essence, directories that hand review sites, placing the ones with the most or best content and services at the top of the list. These sites are an excellent source of high quality, targeted traffic, and should be utilized by any site looking to promote themselves online. High rankings on these sites are not based on the amount of links you have or the volume of traffic your site maintains per month, but rather on who has the best site in their opinion. This makes it one of the best places to start off your promotion campaign for your website.

To get high listings in these sites, you will generally want to have a lot of high quality, topic related content, as well as a layout that is easy to navigate and pleasing to the eye. With a high ranking on these sites, you will generate quite a bit of targeted traffic to your site, as well as get a nice link out of the deal. These sites are generally very popular, as well, helping out your rankings in the search engines while bolstering your traffic.

Some awards sites require a link back to their page in exchange for a ranking on their site. You can opt to not exchange links with these sites and move on to the “catch-free” sites, but in all fairness, a simple reciprocal link is well worth the traffic and reputation boost you will receive with a high listing. Many web browsers will stumble onto these sites in search of the “best” site for whatever subject they are interested in, and may find your site the most appealing to them. The only way for them to find you early on, however is through links from other high traffic sites.

Finding a Related Award Site

Finding an award site is not difficult at all, depending on your topic. Try your favorite search engine with the phrase “top 10 <subject> sites.” More than likely you will receive a myriad of results. Skip over the sites that are not award related, and focus on the award sites for now. Make a list of the most appealing award sites / top 10 sites to you, as these will most likely be the ones that are most appealing to other web browsers. Later you will be trying to get in the top listings for as many as you can, so don’t skip over any just yet.

Before you get started submitting, make sure the content on your site has been read through and looks good. Typos throughout your articles and pages can be a major detriment to your rankings on the award sites out there. You might also want to include a few extra pages with simple articles to be sure that you have plenty of unique content. This will help enormously with your rankings, both on awards sites and on the major search engines, so take your time and do them right.

Submitting to Award Sites

Once you are sure of your content and services / products outline, go ahead and begin submitting to your list of award sites. Many of these, as stated above, will require a link to their site before linking to you, so have your links up and ready before you begin. It will save you time in the end, and will reduce the chances of accidentally not adding a link and getting denied by the site you submitted to.

If an email is required to have your site listed, be sure to write a short, but descriptive letter to their site. Include what the site specifies, and it always helps to add a paragraph stating that you already have a link to their site on yours. Don’t forget to include a link to the exact page you placed their link on, so that it is easy to find. With a reciprocal link placed already, most sites will not have any problem with linking back to you as soon as they get your email. Don’t be discouraged if your site is not within the top 10 on their site after just submitting it. With a little bit of time and effort you can always raise your ranking on an awards site.

Also, be sure to keep a list of which sites did link back to you, and delete the links for the ones that did not. This will keep your links page clean and neat, increasing your chances of getting a higher listing in the award sites you have linked to.

Getting Higher Rankings on Award Sites

Now that you are listed in a few award sites, it’s time to start focusing on getting a higher ranking in them. Always keep fresh content on your site. This will help your ranking not only on the award sites, but on the search engines and directories as well. With new, unique content and constant updates to your site, you will stand a much better chance of being seen as an “expert” in your field, and your site will never grow stagnant or outdated.

Periodically send an email to the award sites you are listed on, informing them of updates since your last email. If the sites see that you are updating and improving your site daily, they will be much more apt to rank you higher on their list.

Another good tip is to keep the links to the award sites toward the top of your link page, or on a separate page altogether, linked from your main page. This will increase traffic to the award sites, further improving your relations with them. If you are sending three times as much traffic to their site than the current #1 listing, chances are good that the #1 will soon be #2 on their list.

Always keep in mind that there is lots of competition on the internet, regardless of which product or service you are promoting. The important thing is to remember that “you get what you pay for.” In other words, the harder you work at something, the better the results are going to be.

Writen by Elizabeth McGee

Website link popularity is used to indicate how many other web pages link to your web page. It is calculated by counting the number of web pages that contain your link, also known as inbound links.

Proper website linking strategies can help you gain inbound links which in turn can greatly improve your search engine ranking. For this reason, it’s wise to maintain link popularity strategies as part of your overall search engine optimization efforts.

There are several linking techniques and strategies used to obtain inbound links. Here are a few popular strategies that just may bring you the results you need:

1. Reciprocal linking

This strategy involves exchanging links with other sites. You put their link on your site, they put your link on theirs. Probably the most common linking strategy, but there are a few do’s and don’ts to keep in mind:

- Link only to sites that have a page rank. It’s my preference to link to sites that have a page rank of 4 or better, however lower ranking is certainly acceptable.

I don’t, however, recommend linking to sites that have no page rank at all. Sites that are penalized by the search engines for spamming or other various reasons will not achieve page rank, therefore; if you link to them you are liable to be penalized as well. This is not to say that all PR0 sites are being penalized, this is not the case at all, but since you have no way of knowing for sure, it’s safer, in my opinion, to wait until the site gains some sort of page rank before you link to it.

- Look for sites with high page rank but few links. The higher the page rank and the fewer the links, the better. Stay away from link farms, these are typically sites with low or no page rank and many, many links.

- Link only to like sites. Link to sites that are related to your site’s topic. If your website is about pet care, link only to sites that are about pet care.

- Include your best keywords in the title and description that you give to your reciprocal link exchange sites. This creates association between your keywords and your site.

- Place your very best link exchange sites on your home page. Don’t overload your homepage with links, however it’s acceptable to include a few high page rank links.

- Try to make sure the links coming into as well as going out from your page are related to the content on your page. Also try to keep the text of the link itself related to your page’s topic.

2. Write articles and submit them to sites that accept articles.

Submit your articles with your resource box containing your name and website address. Article sites often have high page rank. Also, if someone decides to use your article on their site or in their newsletter you’ve just received a new inbound link.

3. Write product testimonials for products you found worthwhile and make sure the testimonial contains your website address.

You will not only gain an inbound link, you can draw traffic from those that read your testimonial.

4. Include your own website’s navigation as a linking strategy.

Every page of your site should include links to the rest of your site. It’s a good idea to include a site map as well. Keep all your site navigation links consistent on each page.

5. Create useful and unique content on your website that will compel others to link to you.

This will not only help improve your link popularity but it will also satisfy the search engines and very possibly increase your keyword search ranking.

6. Join Forums.

Ask questions and contribute your knowledge. This will allow you to place your site URL in your signature line, which in turn creates an inbound link for you.

Writen by Larry Potter

Successful affiliates know that, in order to make serious money as affiliates, they need to play “the numbers game.” Here’s what we mean:

Between 1% and 20% of the people who visit your web site will click through your affiliate link. (The range is wide because it all depends on how targeted your traffic is and how good the affiliate link, banner ad, text link, or other promotional tool you’re using is.)

Out of every 200 people who actually click through your affiliate link (not just visit your site, but actually click on your affiliate link), only 1 to 2 will buy.

What does this mean? The bottom line is that in order to make one affiliate sale, you’ll need to attract at least 500 people to your web site.

Now, we’re not telling this to scare you — after all, there are plenty of IMC affiliates just like you who easily drive more traffic than this to their sites each and every month. We just want you to be aware that it takes a bit of work.

So how do you go about driving more people to your site?

There are a number of strategies that super affiliates use to keep visitors coming:

Search engine optimization
Pay-per-click advertising
Discussion group contributions
E-mail marketing
Classified ads

If you want to skip the failing actions and get a personal tour of REAL PEOPLE making REAL PROFITS on the Internet, then go to…

http://advancedinternetwealth.50webs.com/index.html6.htm

… and take advantage of the invaluable tips and tricks that these Internet successes reveal so that you can start applying them to your business today.

7 Inexpensive Ways To Generate Traffic!!

Writen by Anthoney Hanks

Whether you joined a multilevel marketing (MLM) organization or you are trying to promote an affiliate link, you need traffic. But maybe you are on a tight advertising budget. There are many ways to generate traffic, but this article will discuss 7 inexpensive ways to generate traffic. Some of these techniques are free and some cost a little money. One will actually pay you back for the money you spend.

The first technique is the easiest and simplest way to generate traffic and it is free. Put your link in your email signature. Email signatures are not intrusive to the receiver. If you do not know exactly what you want to put in your signature, do a search on the internet for email signature examples. Once you have your email signature ready, go under your options and set it to automatically appear at the bottom of your email. Now every time you send an email, your links will be displayed.

The second way to generate inexpensive traffic is through banner link exchange. There are thousand of banner exchange sites on the Internet. You would join up with the banner exchanges. You would enter you banner link and receive code to put other’s banner links on your site. This technique will only work if you have your own site to display the banner. Free banner exchange can be a great way to get your affiliate link out to a fresh targeted group of consumers.

The third way to generate inexpensive traffic is to join a manual surf site. These are websites where you get to display your site in exchange for you looking at someone else’s site for 15-20 seconds. You are paid to manual surf other’s sites with credits. You exchange these credits for visits to your site. Two really good manual surf sites are Traffic Swarm and TS25. You can join the sites for free and surf. If you do not have the time, you can buy credits. If you have some time on your hands, this is a very good technique for generating inexpensive traffic.

The fourth technique for generating inexpensive traffic is joining an autosurf site. This technique will cost you money, but will pay you to autosurf other’s sites. This is a little risky way to gain traffic. There are thousands upon thousands of these sites. You have to do your due diligence when deciding which ones to join. Find an autosurf monitor and see how the autosurf site ranks.

Autosurfs are all different in there structures and payouts. You buy ad units and you will be required to view a certain amount of other’s sites daily. Now you earn a percentage of money each day by autosurfing the subscribe amount of sites. At the end of a subscribe time limit, you get to cash out. You also can get paid autosurf traffic by buying advertising space on the site. This advertisement will display at the top of the autosurf site. Just to warn you again, this can be a little risky. You have to do your due diligence when deciding by use some of the autosurf monitor sites out on the Internet.

The fifth technique for gaining inexpensive generated traffic is by joining some topic specific forums. This is a great way to meet and learn from others. You generate traffic by putting your links in your signature box. Now, the thing you need to remember is not to just post messaging in the forums promoting your opportunity. This is called spamming and will be quickly removed by forum moderators. You passively promote your business opportunity by adding meaning content to the topic being discussed. Others will see your links in the signature box and visit your site if interested. Join 3 or 4 forums and make entry in each on a daily basis. Before long, your site will be getting extra exposure at no cost except for the time needed to post.

The sixth technique for generating inexpensive traffic is blogging. Blog is short for Web Log. Blogging is publishing your thoughts or interest through an electronic medium. You can get a free account at http://www.blogger.com. Set you up an account. You are allowed to have multiple blogs. Use you blog to publish things about your product or service. Then use http://www.pingomatic.com or http://www.pingoat.com. These two websites will let other blogging services that you have updated your sites. On your blog, promote your links. Keep your content update and fresh.

The last technique is writing articles. This is a great inexpensive traffic generator. Article writing can be fun and interesting. You may think that you cannot do this, but you can. This is probably one of the best form of advertising your product or service. You promote your product or service by putting your links at the bottom of your articles in the resource box. The resource box is like an email signature box. If you are having problems writing the articles, do a search for article writing software. This will help your writing experience easier. Now just remember that this will be a slow process, unless you just turn out article after article. When your articles are ready, submit to some of the ezine directories.

There are many ways to generate traffic. Some cost lots of money, some are inexpensive. Using the 7 techniques discussed in the article will allow you to generate inexpensive traffic. Email signature, banner exchange, manual and autosurfing sites, writing in forum, publishing a blog, and writing articles are all good inexpensive techniques. Visit my blog (link in resource box) to see some of these techniques in action

Increasing Your Web Site Traffic : Passive vs Active Online Promotion

Writen by Bill Deakin

Your website needs visitors, that means you need to promote your site to attract traffic. You have 2 general ways in which you can do this – passive promotion, or active promotion. As you’ll see, passive promotion will give you a greater return on your time and money – if you give it time!

Let’s say you opened a dry cleaners. If you place an advert in the paper, that is active promotion. You write and pay for an advert, and people reading the paper that week get to know about your business. If you want to continue promoting your business in that way though, you need to keep renewing your advert.

If, instead of placing an advert in the paper, you put up a permanent sign in the local town, that would be passive promotion. Once you have paid for the sign and got permission to put it in that location, it will continue to promote your business for months or even years to come, with no further input from you!

Generating hits to your website can also be done actively or passively. Active promotion includes things like PPC (Pay Per Click), banner advertising, adverts on classified sites etc. These all cost (either time, money or both) and last for a limited time. They certainly work but you have to keep working at promotion to keep getting the visitors.

Passive promotion means that once you have an inbound link to your site, it’s likely to stay there generating traffic for you, freeing you up to do other things.

There are a number of passive online promotion methods:

Reciprocal linking
Sponsoring other sites (paid for inbound links)
Forum signatures
Article submissions
Blogging

Let’s take a look at each of these in turn.

Reciprocal linking

A reciprocal link does exactly what it says on the tin! You link to another site, and they reciprocate by placing a link back to you. As other webmasters are also trying to get traffic to their sites, there are always people willing to trade links. They key here is to exchange links with quality websites that are on topic. By that I mean sites which have something in common with yours. There is little point in a link from a site specializing in disco equipment, if you sell hearing aids! Choose your link partners carefully and build them steadily over time.

Sponsoring

A reciprocal link is great, but a one way inbound link is even better. Once you have a visitor to your site you want to keep them, you don’t want them to click a link and head off to see your competitors. Therefore one way links are even better than swapping links with other sites. There are plenty of sites which will link to you for a fee. Again make sure you are getting value for money. Any site where you are paying for advertising should be on topic, high quality, and getting a decent level of traffic. Get some facts and figures before putting up any cash.

Forum signatures

Forums can be very useful tools. While blatantly linking to your site within posts will be frowned upon as spamming, there are ways of getting traffic from forums. The key here is to use a signature. Most forums will allow a small signature at the bottom of your posts. In your signature you want a very brief description of your site and a link. The ’secret’ now is to become an active member of the forum. If your posts are interesting and informative they will be read. Try posting about things you know that other readers will be interested in. Keep your posts on topic, reply to other people’s posts in a helpful way, and you will become respected as an authority on your chosen subject. Whenever someone reads one of your posts they will see a link to your site. If they like what you’ve written there is a good chance they will click on your link! Additionally, forum pages get picked up by the search engines so use your keyword in your posts and titles and you may also get extra traffic from Google and the others!

Article Submissions

Like forum posts, articles you have written can have a signature (otherwise known as a resource box) with your link. Many people are scared of writing articles due to lack of experience or confidence but it’s really not that hard. Just write about subjects you know well, and are related to the content of your site. Aim for 1000 – 1500 words. Make sure they are well structured, avoid the first person, and include relevant facts and figures where appropriate. Once you have written (and checked) your article you want a way of using it to generate leads. You can submit to article directories. These are websites which host thousands of articles. Webmasters and newsletter editors can search these directories and if they like your article they can place it on their site, on their blog, in their newsletter etc. The rules are that they must include your resource box and so every time someone uses your article you get a one way link! Again a quick search on Google will show a whole host of article directories but try these for starters: iSnare, GoArticles, EzineArticles, ArticleDashboard.

Blogging

Finally we come to blogging. Unless you’ve had your head in a paper bag for the last couple of years you can’t have failed to notice the upsurge in the blogging community. A blog is like an online journal, or diary. The reason they are such a powerful tool is that by their nature they are text heavy, and constantly being updated. This makes them very popular with the search engines which like sites that are fresh and full of textual content. It also means that visitors tend to come back for repeat visits to see what the news is! A blog is very easy to start and there are loads of free online blogging tools. Just so a search for ‘blog’ on Google and you’ll find plenty including Google’s own www.blogger.com

A blog will often get high rankings in the search engine rankings and therefore generate a lot of passive leads. Starting a blog couldn’t be simpler, you just start writing. Here are some tips though, to get you off on the right foot. Firstly your blog wants to be on-topic. If your main site that you want to promote is about ‘home based businesses’ then that is the subject you want to blog about. Start posting at least a couple of times a week about ‘working from home’. Write about your experiences and expertise with working from home, about great home business websites you have found, about changes in the law which might affect home workers etc. The key is to write little and often, write relevant and interesting posts that people will want to read. It almost goes without saying that you want a link to your main site from your blog, but there is an extra advantage. If you write interesting and useful content on your blog, other blogs and websites will link to your posts. As your blog becomes well known as an authority on your subject you will find more and more webmasters and bloggers link to you, and therefore the traffic to your blog, and to your main site increases!

Passive vs Active

These are a few of the ways that you can generate passive, residual traffic and more traffic means more customers! These techniques however take time. You cannot build an established blog overnight. It will take time for your reputation to grow on the forums you frequent. Your reciprocal links will increase slowly as you build them. Use these techniques to slowly increase your sites exposure over time. Active promotion such as PPC and banner advertising can give your site a quick initial boost while you’re increasing your site’s exposure, but these passive techniques will pay off handsomely over time. Most of these ideas take a certain amount of effort but the reward is traffic that comes to you – rather than having to be sought out. Remember, there are no short cuts to anywhere worth going!

Writen by Kusuma Widjaja

Search engines have become so intimidating lately – most people think that search engines are just out to get them – everyone’s becoming afraid… They also think that getting #1 rankings is near impossible.

Yes, if you’re trying to trick search engines, THEN – they’re out to get you – BIG TIME.

BUT, if you’re willing to work with them and help them, then they can seriously be your business’s best friend.

Here’s how:

—————————————-
Writing Articles for Search Engines
—————————————-

Actually, you’re writing articles for TWO people.

1. Search Engines
2. Your Potential Customers

. Why for Search Engines?

Because search engines love content, and it’s that very content that let’s you invite traffic from search engines.

These articles help you optimize your website for search engine rankings (more on this in a bit).

. Why for Potential Customers?

Because these articles are what your prospects are looking for on search engines – they land on that page, find the information they need and then see your “recommendation” – aka affiliate link and they click, click BUY.

So, your articles eventually lead to sales and commission for you.

So once again, the purpose of articles:

. Provide content/information for:
. Search Engines
. Potential customers
. Promoting traffic to your affiliate program

—————————————-
Optimizing your Articles with Keywords
—————————————-

We don’t want to make your head spin here, so we’ll try to keep this AS simple as possible.

There are certain places you want to insert your keywords when building an article webpage.

Here they are:

. The title of the page
. The Description META Tag
. The Keyword META Tag
. In your Headline, use HTML Tag < h1 >< /h1 >
. Your first line of text
. Once or twice per paragraph
. Once/Twice in bold
. In the text of a link

Some other tips:

. In your graphics – use keyword in HTML ALT tag
. Use a secondary keyword also – a few times

Some Cautions:

. Don’t Overkill – repeating your keyword an obsense number of times will not help you at all – it will hurt you.
. Never hide keywords – never.
. Nothing tricky – if it’s tricky, don’t do it.
. Don’t have a LONG keyword META tag

The above is how most search engines determine how relevant your webpage is to a specific keyword.

This is NOT the only element involved in search engine optimization, however, it’s one the most important. The next strategy we’re going to discuss is also critical – for Google, especially.

You can learn a lot more about How to Dominate Search Engines and also get Step by Step Instructions to turn that traffic into $300.00, $600.00 or $900.00/month in residual income at <a target="_new"href=http://www.whycity.net/dse.html>DominateSearchEngines.

———————————–
A Linking Strategy
———————————–

Alright, now, we’re going to discuss the one, quite possibly most important element to ranking well in Google – the # of incoming links.

Google has been giving more and more importance to what they call their “PR” – short for Page Rank. The PR is based on a scale of 1-10 and the higher it is, the more incoming links you have.

The PR is determined by the number of INCOMING and OUTGOING links you have. You should have the maximum number of incoming links.

See, Google’s theory is that by having a site link to you, that website is basically “voting” for you – that site is telling Google

“Hey, I like that website, it has good content, I feel comfortable sending MY visitors there, so should you…”

The more sites that tell Google that, the more willing Google is to send it’s traffic.

So, bottom line, recruit incoming links.

—– How?—–

How did we know you’re going to ask that million dollar question?

Our answer is not that “great” -

“Just ask…”

Contact websites in your niche and ask them for a link exchange.

How to find these websites?

Check the sites linking to your competition on Alexa.com

Do a search on Google.com for your keyword and contact all the relevant websites.

Send them an e-mail, call them, etc…and let them know what’s in it for them – a reciprocal link to help THEM with search engine optimization as well.

NOTE: A linking strategy is VERY important if you want any chance at making it to the Top 10 page on Google and then staying there…
